The Dari Cycle

Tales from the inter-dimensional wanderings of Dari, the shrunken explorer who features in Paths Across the Sea.

Because it’s Dari, these short stories typically relate her (very) close encounters with women many times her size. As such these tales are recommended for – let us not say mature, because humans, adults especially, tend to be too arrogant for that; but at least, readers of a reflective and open-minded disposition.

The Triangulation of Dari

A metaphysical encounter. Dari comes to the attention of an enigmatic being of immense cosmic power, who indulges in a fascinated deep delve into Dari’s personality, place in the cosmos, and the nature of her journey.

Lessons in Lava

A rumbling geological encounter. Dari is acquired by a mighty volcano goddess for some timely instruction, only days after the incident that shrank her and set her tumbling across the worlds.

Dari’s adventures continue . . .

Bonus story: “Fuzzy”

One day a cuddly little Rilakkuma bumped into Dari on her travels and followed her to the worlds of her friends. This compilation tells of this cute and curious bear’s heartwarming interactions with them: nuzzling for affection, going after their food, and landing Dari in all sorts of inevitable mishaps along the way.

Dari belongs to herself and has bashfully assented to the publication of these accounts of her adventures. One day, when grievous wounds have been healed, her primary representative in this world shall be credited here too.
